28Bachelor of Technology(Electronics &Telecommunication Engineering)ELIGIBILITY FOR ADMISSION TO PROGRAM AT FIRST YEAR LEVEL The candidate shall be eligible for admission to the First Year B.E., subject to the conditions prescribed by the Government of Maharashtra from time to time. AND s/he shall have passed 12th (HSC) Standard Examination of the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary Education or its equivalent, with the subjects: i) English(Higher or Lower) ii) Modern Indian Language(Higher or Lower) iii) Mathematics and Statistics iv) Chemistry v) Physics vi) And/or any other condition prescribed and revised by the Director, Technical Education, Government of Maharashtra from time to time. 6. ELIGIBILITY FOR ADMISSION TO PROGRAM AT SECOND YEAR LEVEL Admission of a Candidate directly to the Third Semester B.E. Level shall be termed as Lateral Entry. The Eligibility conditions for lateral entry directly to the 3rd semester B.E. shall be governed by the rules prescribed and updated from time to time by the Director of Technical Education, Government of Maharashtra. However, the general eligibility conditions shall be as mentioned below: (i) That the Candidate should have passed Three Years Diploma Program with at least 50% marks in appropriate branch of Engineering/Technology from within the State of Maharashtra or its equivalent, OR (ii) That the Candidate should have passed Three Years B.Sc. (Bachelor of Science) examination of this University or any other University recognized by the UGC/MHRD with Mathematics, as a compulsory subject, with minimum 50 % marks(CGPA = 5.75), after passed XII(HSC) standard with mathematics as a subject. However, candidates admitted under such category shall be required to clear Courses of Engineering Graphics/Engineering Drawing, Electrical Engineering and Engineering Mechanical of the I and II Semester B.E. Program, along with the III semester B.E. Courses. The eligibility for admission into V Semester B.E. shall remain same, as usual. 34Bachelor of Law (3 year)Eligibility Criteria for Admission:(a)Admission to the program shall be made on the basis of merit by the respective college admission committee and in accordance with the rules and instructions provided from time to time in this regard by the Bar Council of India. The reservation policy and rules of the Government of Maharashtra governing admission to higher educational institutions issued from time to time shall also be followed. (b) An applicant who has graduated in any discipline of knowledge from a university established by an Act of Parliament or by a state legislature or from an equivalent national institution recognized as a deemed to be University or from a foreign university recognized as equivalent to the status of an Indian University by an authority competent to declare equivalence, may apply for a LL.B (three year law degree Program) (c) Students who secures minimum 45% of the total marks in the qualifying examination are eligible for admission into the program. As per the Bar Council of India, New Delhi directions vide letter No. BCI:D:1379:2002 (LE:Affln.), dated 2-8-2002, the 44.5% can be rounded of to 45% (d) For S.C & S.T students, Minimum 40% of the total marks in their qualifying examination i.e. graduation, is required for admission into the LL.B 3 year Program.

35Bachelor of Laws (5 year)Eligibility Criteria for Admission: (a) Admission to the program shall be made on basis of merit by the respective college admission committee and in accordance with the rules and instructions provided from time to time by Bar Council of India. The reservation policy and rules of the Government of Maharashtra governing admission to higher educational institutions issued from time to time shall also be followed. (b) An applicant who has successfully completed 10+2 or Intermediate or equivalent from a recognized University of India or outside or from a Senior Secondary Board or equivalent, constituted or recognized by the Union or by a State Government or from any equivalent institution from a foreign country recognized by the government of that country for the purpose of issue of qualifying certificate on successful completion of the course, may apply for and be admitted into the B.A. LL.B. (5 Year Course) degree. (c) Students who secures minimum 45% of the total marks in the qualifying examination are eligible for admission into the program. As per the Bar Council of India, New Delhi directions vide letter No. BCI:D:1379:2002(LE:Affln.), dated 2-8-2002, the 44.5% can be rounded off to 45%. (d) For S.C & S.T students, Minimum 40% of the total marks in their qualifying examination is required for admission into the Program.

36Bachelor of Library & Information Sciences (Library and Information Science)Subject to the compliance with the provisions of this Direction and of the ordinances in force from time to time an applicant for admission to semester –I examination shall have passed the Bachelor Degree examination of this university or of any other statutory recognized university as equivalent to the Bachelor Degree of this university other than B.L.I. 37Bachelor of Pharmacy (Pharmacy)Minimum qualification for admission 1 First year B. Pharm: Candidate shall have passed 10+2 examination conducted by the respective state/central government authorities recognized as equivalent to 10+2 examination by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) with English as one of the subjects and Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics (P.C.M) and or Biology (P.C.B / P.C.M.B.) as optional subjects individually. Any other qualification approved by the Pharmacy Council of India as equivalent to any of the above examinations. 2. B. Pharm lateral entry (to third semester): A student pass in D. Pharm. course from an institution approved by the Pharmacy Council of India under section 12 of the Pharmacy Act. 4. Duration of the program The course of study for B. Pharm shall extend over a period of eight semesters (four academic years) and six semesters (three academic years) for lateral entry students. The curricula and syllabi for the program shall be prescribed from time to time by Pharmacy Council of India, New Delhi.
